DeSean Stokes as “Peter” and Barry Phillips as “Karl” in Toni Seger’s drama Rope of Sands, which played off-off-Broadway June 2011.
Rope of Sands played alongside the production The Stranger to Kindness and the two shows were nominated for Outstanding Overall Production of an Entire Evening of One-Acts/Paired Productions at the PCTF.

After an interview with Bad Boy President Harve Pierre and VP Gwen Niles, DeSean took a year-long executive office internship, assisting on projects like Janelle Monae’s Grammy-nominated “Metropolis” EP.

DeSean (previously credited as ‘Anthony Stokes’) performed piano/vocals and won on Season 2 of the TV-One national urban dating show “Get the Hook Up” hosted by radio personality Russ Parr.
